Over the following seven years, Fernando assumed various managerial roles within the consulting and transportation sectors. In 2009, he embarked on a new adventure, relocating with his family to Boston in the United States, and later to Chicago, Illinois.
In 2011, Fernando was handpicked by BP America to join a prestigious leadership program, propelling him through positions across Chicago, Houston, London, and Mexico City. In 2019, he transitioned to the realm of educational services, spearheading the AI & RPA team at Adtalem Global Education.
Fuelled by his strategic acumen, Fernando established his own US-based strategy consulting firm in 2019, later assuming the role of senior partner at Morris & Opazo in 2021.
Fernando boasts an MBA in Strategy and Business Analysis, along with an MSc in Information Systems, both from Boston University. His academic journey began with an Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Chile, further augmented by multiple executive courses from MIT. His expertise lies in crafting strategic frameworks, governance models, intricate program management, business transformation, and change management.
Currently residing with his family in Chicago's southwest suburbs, Fernando, an immigrant driven by a love for exploration, delves into diverse cultures, languages, and history. He savors life's simple pleasures such as music and cooking, while also finding fulfillment in coaching his children's sports endeavors through volunteer work.
