Kirston Winters is Managing Director, Chief Risk Officer (CRO), Head of Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Government and Regulatory Affairs at OSTTRA. OSTTRA is 50/50 owned by CME Group and IHS Markit, and is a leading provider of progressive post-trade solutions for the global OTC markets across interest rate, FX, equity and credit asset classes. It incorporates CME Group’s optimization businesses –Traiana, TriOptima, and Reset – and IHS Markit’s MarkitSERV. He was previously Managing Director, at IHS Markit, Head of Risk, Regulatory and Market Strategy for MarkitSERV at IHS Markit. Prior to that he was co-head of product management for MarkitSERV, the largest, global service for processing OTC derivatives trades. He was also responsible for MarkitSERV's cross asset real-time public and regulatory transaction reporting service which launched in 2011 and headed product management for our MiFID II offering. Prior to joining IHS Markit in 2009, Kirston served as Director of Business Development at the DTCC Deriv/SERV LLC subsidiary of the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC). Early in his career, he worked at Barclays Capital where he held various roles in OTC derivatives. Kirston holds a BSc in economics from the University of Manchester.
